I ran out of granulated garlic recently, and was inspired to make my own. And now that I know how easy it is, I’ll probably never buy it again.
Dice as much garlic as you want. It shrinks a lot while baking, so prepare double the amount you want. I used half of a head of garlic. Turn oven on to 300 degrees. Place the diced garlic on a baking sheet and put in oven for about 5 minutes. Keep an eye on it as it goes from perfectly dry to burned pretty quickly. When a bit browned looking and smelling wonderful, remove baking sheet and let garlic cool. That’s it.
